In
Minnesota, Spec Plating is using a flow through wastewater treatment system.
This state of the art system was designed specifically to meet Spec Plating’s
individual needs, and is therefore capable of continuous operation twenty
four hours a day. This system is also capable of treating several different
types of waste streams at one time, thus allowing many different processes
to coexist in one job shop and dedicated lines operation.
The metals in the rinse
water are precipitated out, and then dewatered through a filter
press producing metal hydroxide sludge. Metal hydroxide
sludge has become the main waste that Spec Plating produces, and
by using the latest technology Spec Plating is able to have that
material recycled.
The waste treatment operators are well trained, and continue to update
their knowledge as the waste industry becomes more advanced.
